The forwarding and logistics company Schiffahrt-Handel-Spedition GmbH (SHS) was founded in Bremen, Germany on 01-July-1992. Once estalished the corporate office was located in the city center of Bremen,however, shortly afterwards relocated to the former dock premises of shipbuilding yard AG Weser. In October 1997 the company was moved once more to its now present site in Delmenhorst - near Bremen. The current location is a former newly developed industrial estate called “Lange Wand” which is direclty situated at the Autobahn 28. This spot is conveniently linked to the seaports of Bremen, Bremerhaven and Hamburg as well as the Bremen Airport and therefore enables us to carry out our services with a high degree of flexibility.



          		 

Our own facility covers a total area of 4500 square meters. We provide an indoor storage capacity of 850 square meters as well as sufficient room for outdoor storage. Furthermore our site is equipped with appropriate devices to enable smooth and efficient container loading. We also operate numerous forklifts with a maximum lifting capacity of 10 metric tons.

 


Effective 01-April-2008 we expanded our company and purchased a warehouse located in Ganderkesee-Schierbrok. This so-called “SHS Werk II” offers a total area of 1500 square meters and provides an indoor storage capacity of approximate 450 square meters. There are currently 15 people employed at both sites.
